Welcome to the new EntsWeb GEN-up site.
It’s here to help entertainers, musicians, singers, dancers and stage performers find answers to burning questions and chat with others in the same profession.
You will be able to ask questions, post comments, take part in conversations and read helpful articles in the Master Classes section.
You will also be able to create or join Groups where you can have private converations with other members and discuss the biz.
There is also a private group called The Club for professional entertainers and musicians only, where you can air your experiences, good and band, for the benefit of other Club members.
This is a social site aimed squarely at, and for, entertainers, musicians, dancers and other entertainment professionals.

I thought maybe a brief run through of the basics of this site might be helpful. This is a BuddyPress site so if you have used one before you will be familiar with the way it works. It’s a twist on a social media site and includes the familiar rolling chats and forums plus tutorials, advice pages and private members areas. You can ‘friend’ people and follow their post, start your own groups and invite friends to join.
Clicking the various grey tabs directs you to all the different sections of the GEN-up site.
Home
Takes you to the introduction page where you can login or register as a new member.
Activity
This show activity across the site including profile changes, new members, new posts and activity in open Groups.
Groups
This will show a directory of the Groups currently active. Most are open Groups and you can join them at the click of a button. For some others you will either need to receive an invitation or to submit a request to join.
Clicking on a Group name will show the posts and if you are member of the Group, you can start forum topics, make comments and post updates.
Forums
Clicking the Forums tab will produce a list of topics being discussed in the various forums across the site. It will also show which Group the Forum topic belongs to.
Members
A list of EntsWeb GEN-up members. Alongside each name you will see an “Add Friend” button which allows you to send a friend request.
Clicking on the Members name takes you to their timeline where you can read, ‘Favourite’ and comment on their posts.

The Master Classes
These are in-depth tutorials on various subjects. The first is about getting free publicity with a well written press release.
